La Orotava on the northern side of the island of Tenerife, Spain is a lovely city with a historic centre. A little bit away from the centre the city started an open market hall some years ago. Having constructed a hall certainly helps against the temperatures of the hot summers. The success seemed to be limited as the hall was not too busy on a Saturday morning.
Still the market has a nice mix of products: fruits and vegetables (especially potatoes in a large variety), cheeses, bread and other typical food stuff. Next to it there is also some space for crafts, which gives the market a nice flavour.
All in all: A nice to visit market.
